2 An Exotic Particle Model with a Coulomb and a Magnetic Vortex Interaction

چکیده
We consider the Lagrangian particle model introduced in [1] for zero mass but nonvanishing second central charge of the planar Galilei group. Extended by a magnetic vortex or a Coulomb potential the model exibits conformal symmetry. In the former case we observe an additional SO(2, 1) hidden symmetry. By either a canonical transformation with constraints or by freezing scale and special conformal transformations at t = 0 we reduce the six-dimensional phase-space to the physically required four dimensions. Then we discuss bound states (bounded solutions) in quantum dynamics (classical mechanics). We show that the Schrödinger equation for the pure vortex case may be transformed into the Morse potential problem thus providing us with an explanation of the hidden SO(2, 1) symmetry.

Exotic Galilean Conformal Symmetry and Its Dynamical Realisations
The six-dimensional exotic Galilean algebra in (2+1) dimensions with two central charges m and θ, is extended when m = 0, to a tendimensional Galilean conformal algebra with dilatation, expansion, two acceleration generators and the central charge θ. A realisation of such a symmetry is provided by a model with higher derivatives recently discussed in [1]. We consider also a realisation of the G...
متن کاملInvestigation of electron correlation effects in armchair silicene nanoribbons
In this study, the electronic structure of armchair silicene nanoribbons (ASiNRs) is investigated for various widths using first-principle calculations and the framework of the density functional theory. Electronic structure of ASiNRs shows a direct band gap which is decreased with increasing the nanoribbon's width, showing an oscillatory behavior. The effective Coulomb interaction between loca...

, not only the conformal generators D and K, but also the fermionic generators Q=1/ √ 2mπ ·σ and S= √ m/2 r ·σ− tQ are conserved. Thus, the spin system admits an o(3)× osp(1/1) conformal supersymmetry, yielding now an algebraic solution of the Pauli equation [2]. More recently, Jackiw [3] found that the o(2, 1) symmetry, generated by — formally — the same D and K as above, is also present for a...
متن کاملQuantum critical phenomena of long-range interacting bosons in a time-dependent random potential
We study the superfluid-insulator transition of a particle-hole symmetric system of long-range interacting bosons in a time-dependent random potential in two dimensions, using the momentum-shell renormalization-group method. We find a new stable fixed point with non-zero values of the parameters representing the shortand long-range interactions and disorder when the interaction is asymptoticall...
متن کاملOrigin of artificial electrodynamics in three-dimensional bosonic models
Several simple models of strongly correlated bosons on three-dimensional lattices have been shown to possess exotic fractionalized Mott insulating phases with a gapless “photon” excitation. In this paper we show how to view the physics of this “Coulomb” state in terms of the excitations of proximate superfluid. We argue for the presence of ordered vortex cores with a broken discrete symmetry in...
